EASE. The engine behind every score.
Engine for AI-based Skill Evaluation. It grades every Nuvepro Competency Assessment by watching what people do inside a real environment, not what they pick from a multiple-choice list.
Why traditional scores lie
Recognition is not execution. The scorecard says one thing, the job says another.
Multiple-choice tests were built for scale, not for proof. They tell you whether someone recognised the right answer. They do not tell you whether that person can deploy with Terraform, debug a Kubernetes pod that will not start, or trace a failure across three services at 2am.
The gap between recognition and execution is where projects slip. People with full marks on the certification show up unable to do the work. Onboarding stretches. Delivery dates move. The scorecard said one thing. The job said another.
What EASE watches
EASE sits inside the assessment environment. As the candidate works, it observes four signals.
Implementation
Were the required components actually deployed and configured. Not whether the candidate said they would. Whether they did.
Quality
Did the candidate apply best practice. Did they secure what should be secured. Did they over-provision, leak secrets, leave defaults.
Recovery
When something broke, what did the candidate do. Read the logs. Ignore the error. Try the same thing twice. Pick the right next step.
Outcome
Does the result work. Does it meet the scenario constraints. Would a senior engineer accept this in code review.
From scores to signals
A grade is the surface. Underneath sits a record of what the candidate did, in what order, with what reasoning.
EASE turns each assessment run into a normalised score and a grade. That part looks like a traditional test. The difference is what is underneath the score.
A high score means the candidate executed under conditions that mirror real work. A low score is not a failure. It is a signal showing exactly where the gap sits, so the next investment is targeted, not generic.
Where it sits
EASE is not a product. It is the grading engine inside the products you actually buy.
Every Nuvepro Competency Assessment is graded by EASE. So is every Simulation completion check, every role-readiness verdict, every Bootcamp pass mark.
You do not buy EASE. You buy a Competency Assessment, a Simulation, or a Readiness Bundle. EASE quietly grades the work underneath.
